SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION
What will you do to gain success, at what lengths would you goto to gain that self-satisfaction? the conquest for success is a steep one, however, we must remember “Success is a journey, not a destination”. Stay vigilant and strong, know that you are not alone and everyone either has been or are in the same boat as you are.
It all begins with recognizing that you are a successful individual RIGHT NOW, and your successes can only go up from here.
Guys and girls: Simply having the determination to pursue your happiness, your goals, and your dreams is a massive success in itself.
It takes an incredible amount of courage to wake up every morning and keep moving and keep motivating yourself to work toward the life that you’ve always imagined living.
The preparation part of the success equation, your journey, should be celebrated, for success is not simply a destination. Success is not something that we ARRIVE at one day. Success has everything to do with your individual day to day choices, actions, and experiences. No matter how big or small they are.
Success has to do with being true to who YOU are and how you choose to respond to every circumstance that occurs in your life.
Aim to shift your focus from thinking of success as being something that is always out of your reach or something which involves constantly wanting or needing more or keeping up with other people.
And focus instead on being grateful and happy for who YOU are and what you have RIGHT NOW
And there’s so much to be grateful for, isn’t there?
Whatever it is you might be going through right now regardless of how challenging it may be there is always much to be thankful for.
Albert Einstein said:
“There are only two ways to live your life
One is as though NOTHING is a miracle
The other is as though EVERYTHING is a miracle”
Now, how do you want to live your life?
To be successful in life, we have to satisfy certain key aspects. Firstly, knowing your limits is the most important among them. Limits are the boundaries in your life which you could not overcome. For instance, if you are a blind person, you cannot drive a car. But on the other hand, there are so-called obstacles in our lives. Many of us think that they mean the same, which is not. Obstacles could be overcome with commitment. In practice limits are few whereas obstacles are many. What we have to do is, identify our limits, differentiate them with obstacles and start out journey towards success.
The second aspect would be having a proper plan to overcome obstacles and achieve success. The plan has to be developed based on your strengths and the nature of your goal. During this stage, believing in yourself is vital as it would make your life easier. You should build up self-confidence. And the final step is the proper execution of your plan. You should identify and predict the possible interruptions that you would face during your journey. One good way to overcome such incidents is having contingency planning. During the execution process, as mentioned above, you might face plenty of problems, failures, and losses. But to be successful in life, these issues should be accepted with intelligence and one should learn from them and emerge as an even better individual.
Now it is time to pay more attention to my caption. It says “Success is a Journey, Not a Destination”. Does it make sense? What are the differences between journey and a destination? Are they alike or different?
We could simply differentiate destination as a narrower path compared to a journey. The main feature of a destination is that it has a pre-defined endpoint. But do we have something like that in our lives?. One could argue with me, that he or she has a goal in their lives and the achievement of it, is the destination. Then comes the question, What will they do after that? Are they done with their lives?……. Obviously, they will set another goal, which is harder to achieve and has more value than the previous one. Now their destination changes and they begin to walk on another path. They are striving hard to achieve goal by goal until they die.
Therefore, no one in the world could predict exactly what they want in their lives. So, that’s why I have mentioned that the “ Success of life doesn’t have a clear destination, but, it’s a non-ending journey.
Principles You Must adopt to Become Successful
“Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals.” -Jim Rohn
Success isn’t complicated.
But success — true, lasting success — is within your grasp. It is possible. It is available, to every person, at this given moment, however, the principles to get there aren’t easy, but they are simple
But success — true, lasting success — is within your grasp. It is possible. It is available, to every person, at this given moment, however, the principles to get there aren’t easy, but they are simple.
Most People Will Never Be Successful because they’re not willing to do what the other guy won’t.
“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better.” -Jim Rohn
Sadly, although anyone can choose to become successful, most people never will.
This is because when it comes down to the final word, most people will choose comfort over growth. Ultimately, they see the price for true success and say, “no thanks.”
This is one of the most important characteristics of the “mediocre majority” — they are unwilling to trade comfort and stability for the pain of wild growth.
Success costs you.
To reach higher function, you must be willing to become a child again, to learn and grow in new avenues. You must constantly be willing to become a small fish in a big pond again.
Most people simply aren’t willing.
The simple truth is, everyone has it within themselves to start fresh, to eat healthy, to be the best version of themselves that they can be if they were willing to start today, it is a choice available to everyone at all times however most people just are willing to start.
within the words of Warren Buffet: “That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”
The choice to become 100% financially independent is available now.
The choice to have extremely rewarding and intimate relationships with your friends and family is available now. The choice to become fit, active, and healthy is available now.
The choice to become fit, active, and healthy is available now.
The choice to experience intense and complete emotional healing is available now.
But most people won’t take it.
Each of these avenues has a high cost. They require you to change your life. To shed old habits and adopt new ones. To sever ties with toxic individuals. To admit “I don’t know.”
Benjamin Hardy put it this way: “Anything is possible if you are willing to pay the price.”
Many people make these decisions every day and change the trajectory of their lives, and their family’s lives, forever.
But many, many more people never make this choice.
They continue to live in ordinary, average lives, just like everyone else around them.
Evolving/growing is Painful. That’s Why Most People Don’t Do It.
Evolving is painful.
Becoming a better version of yourself requires time, energy, humility, and study.
Evolving means constantly becoming a child again. You must become a young, teachable student again, over and over.
You must constantly be admitting, “I don’t know.”
There is so much you don’t know that will be revealed to you over the course of your studies and self-discovery. And the most helpful way to “grease the wheels” of this journey is to remain humble and open to correction and teaching.
The worst thing you can do is insist you already know everything.
Michelin-star chef Gordon Ramsay had a show called Kitchen Nightmareswhere he would audit a struggling restaurant’s food processes.
There was a particular episode where a failing restaurant was led by a stubborn and arrogant chef who refused to change his menu or learn new tricks.
Ramsey came in and began cooking marvelous new dishes for the restaurant. He prepared a particular sea bass dish for the owners, which they loved.
However, the chef refused to try the dish. “I already know what sea bass tastes like,” he argued dismissively. “I’ve been cooking for 38 years.”
Instead of learning a free, valuable lesson from a world-class expert, this man chose pride over growth.
This is how most people react to criticism — defensiveness and immaturity.
Instead of humbly admitting they don’t know everything and gratefully accepting wisdom and teaching from experts, they choose pride and stagnation over humility and massive growth.
Evolving is painful. Most people simply choose not to do it.
But once you decide to become someone who is open to correction and teaching, you become an unstoppable force.
If you shift your mindset into being an open, thirsty mind that is hungry for knowledge (and humble enough to accept correction), you’ll become more capable than 90% of the population to achieve massive success.
“Every next level of your life will demand a different you.”-Leonardo DiCaprio
What got you here won’t get you there.
Mastering success means mastering the art of constantly becoming a better version of yourself.
This is done through slow, deliberate choices, and is sped-up exponentially through being humble enough to accept correction and teaching.
Get out of your own way.
Mark Goulston, Get Out of Your Own Way: Overcoming Self-Defeating Behavior
Confront your inner dialogue that holds you back. The messages you tell yourself determine your perception of yourself, as well as your ability to accomplish your goals. If your inner dialogue is negative, you may become the greatest obstacle to your own success. Look for the following types of statements:
Counter negative inner dialogue with positive self-talk. Notice when your inner voice feeds you negative messages. When this happens, replace that thought with a positive message. Over time, the negative messages should diminish.[
Determine the source of your fears about failure or success. It’s normal to have fears, but they can hold you back if they’re left unchecked. You need to figure out what you’re afraid of so you can confront it. Question the reasons behind your fears, then face them head on to challenge their truth.
Acknowledge your feelings without letting them control you. Trying to suppress your feelings won’t make them go away. Instead, they’ll just bubble beneath the surface waiting to explode. Let your emotions come and acknowledge how you feel. Then, release them.[
Stop comparing yourself to others. Don’t let someone else’s life become your measuring stick for yours. You’ll always come up short because you only see the highlights in their life, not the daily struggles. No one’s journey is the same as yours, so you can only compare yourself to you.
Create for yourself a positive mindset
Acknowledge your accomplishments
Acknowledging your own achievements and celebrating what one has accomplished is not prideful but rather self-adoration, celebrate what you have overcome and know that you are awesome because of such.
Practice self care.
Taking good care of yourself supports your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. Proper self-care helps you operate at your best and maintain a healthy mindset. These are some examples of self-care
Give yourself the tools you need.
Make sure you have all of the things you need to work toward your goal.
Do what’s right for you, not everyone else.
Trying to appease everyone else is not only impossible, but it’s also detrimental to follow and pursue your own goals and aspirations. You cannot make everyone happy but you do need to hold onto your own happiness, make the decision that is best for you and to not apologize for your own needs.
Surround yourself with positive people.
If you want a particular energy then you must surround yourself with people that also give off that energy, positivity welcomes positivity and the same goes for negativity.
Build your own community by helping others.
Share what you have to offer – helping another by offering your own services such as experience, knowledge, skills and the like.
Practicing Mindfulness by Being in the Present
Avoid ruminating on your thoughts by taking action. Getting stuck in your own head is one of the worst ways you can get in your own way. You need to break free from your cycling thoughts. Taking any action can help you do that!
Live in the moment, not your future or past. Getting caught up in future worries or past mistakes will make it hard for you to move forward.
Breaking Bad Habits
Let go of perfectionism. Trying to attain perfection is harmful and unproductive. No one is perfect. Everyone fails, and your failures can be your best teachers!
Avoid procrastination and make time for your goals, learn to say no to unimportant activities.
procrastination is a big obstacle in many of our lives that hinders what could be success, learn to say no to the unnecessary thing’s and keep practicing toward your goals at hand.
Speak up when you have a problem with something. You need to be able to advocate for your own needs. No one can read your mind, so the only way they’ll know how you feel is if you tell them. You have a right to share your opinions, so speak up!
Working Toward Your Goals
Make sure your motivation is internal. You’re more likely to be successful if you’re pursuing a goal that is your own rather than one you feel forced on you.
Break your goals down into stepping stones
viewing at your goal as a whole can be overwhelming. Instead, create a checklist of the small tasks you need to do to reach your goal.
Adjust your plans as necessary. As you accomplish each step, take a moment to assess your progress.
Keep the promises you make to yourself.
Reaching your goals will take good self-discipline, so hold yourself accountable.
Take regular breaks.
Everyone needs breaks, don’t expect to work yourself constantly to exhaustion, take your breaks and know that you need to rest your body and mind before you can keep going at it.

Know that you are awesome and very much cared for, you must learn to love yourself remember, change can only happen to start with you that also means success. Keep striving toward self-improvement and never let anyone else tell you that you can’t because you can! everyone has it within themselves to change for the better, we just have to develop the habit of self-discipline.
